Failing the breathalyser with readings of 110 and 100 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood after avoiding a police checkpoint will cost a Bridgetown man $1,150 and his licence for a year. Paul Wayne King, 36, was convicted of the offence January 28 following a trial last year. Mr. King was pulled over in New Ross on May 28, 2009.
